As we all know that the Mumbai Local train 2 by 2 (2x2) compartment is very famous for all these activities.
It is the gents compartment towards CST side or Churchgate side, next to luggage compartment. The entire compartment has 3 doors. But middle door (also called 2 by 2) is one where action takes place during rush hour. Just stand somewhere and start cruising you will surely get someone over there. Travelled from Dadar to Thane by fast local around 830am yesterday. I was standing near the entrance being the seats. I daily travel by central railway. I am sure action has reduced in 2x2. I have been unlucky for past several months on account of reduced action and also due to increased crowd in the train. The crowd is too much to move from your place and approach the right person standing on distance from you. I have like stopped travelling in 2x2 because of these two reasons. Yesterday I was travellig from Ghatkopar to Thane at 4pm. Crowd was not much as the offices were yet to close. The 29-second mobile video shows two men standing near the footboard of what appears to be a Central Railway train. One of them has earphones on and his eyes are fixed on the mobile screen. He is holding a yellow bag. The other man, who is partially bald, reaches out for his genitals and briefly performs the act while people around them seem oblivious to the bizarre episode.
The man who is apparently receiving sexual enjoyment appears emotionless in the video and keeps staring at the screen. In the background, an in-train announcement says the next station is Byculla.
It was not immediately clear on Thursday when the incident took place, how old the video is or who shot it. But rail authorities insisted that the two men seen in the footage won’t escape the long arm of the law. “We will identify the offenders and take appropriate action,” said senior GRP inspector Hemant Bawdhankar at CST.
Jai Jeet Singh, additional director of the GRP, termed the incident “despicable”. “We will certainly take action under applicable sections,” he said. |
