The river spot - kurukuthurai in Town has several good spots to have fun. I've met several gays ranging from as young as 1# to 60+ here. If you are bathing alone, most of the gay men approach if interested. But, it depends on the time you visit and the people around at that time due to which the interested party could / couldn't approach you.
Still, worth a try if you are really desperate.
