Who from Bangalore or surrounding areas is planning to go to Thrissur Pooram this year?
Any idea about Thrissur Pooram dates and events flow. Anyone who attended previous year Pooram please provide some insights and any cautions as this is my first visit.

We had been there last year. Quite dull but it was happening in some lodges. No action in the ground nor in the stadium. There was good action at another busy area where they park the elephant lorries.
I guess bookings have already started and will soon fill up. I would suggest Chandys and Emerald. |

@Inder tell me about the action in the lodges. To be honest I find it fun cruising in public space but actually prefer full fun in private spaces like hotels or lodges so that is ok with me.
I heard most hotels and lodges are filled with gay men and lots of orgies happening. Is that true? |

Yes lots of orgies happen in the lodges. The festival is filled with gays from all over India. Just open Grindr and you will spend all day meeting people. You can make connections and enquire if orgies are happening. |

So basically its a *** fest. Been there for the past 2 years. Emerald is the most happening one in my opinion.
Almost all lodges and hotels are booked by gay/bi men. There are huge orgies that happen all day long in different parts off the city. U will find men off all kinds. The stadium area is pretty happening after dark. But last year the crowd was less as they have put up cameras and stuff now.
I had an amazing time even though I stayed a little further away from the city.
Saw like really amazing orgies..such energy and heat between men. All u need is to be really prepared for long periods of ***. Choosing the right partners, staying safe, being on prep if u like it raw or use a condom! |

Heard a lot about pooram.and was supposed to go last year.but i could not make it.and what i heard from my known people is,all the hotels and loadges will be booked in advance.and then they conncet via grinder or pr.and there is a ground where they meet and mate.but these days the locales r aware of this activity so nlthing much can not be done.all the gay stories about pooram are so much tempting.and immediately after thrissur pooram, there is another pooram at palghat.so the whole crowd will shift from thrissur to palghat.i have less knkwledge on these.but will search and uodate u all |

Try Buddha Lodge
Reasonable..around 400 for a night
Lots of gays stays there and every room is happening there
I am regular visitor to pooram and always stays there. Rooms at 4the floor are amazing...simple rooms and *** all over😊
Google out their number
Its very near to temple too

@yash but i am not able to book buddha lodge online. and most hotels nothing is available for online booking. when I called some hotels, they said 15k. and others said call after Jan 20 or after Feb 1. WHAT IS GOING ON? |

If you google out the number of buddha lodge, then call and confirm the mode of booking.
I don't have their number right now with me
Yes, for most of the hotels booking will start lately by Jan or Feb because they spike up the price . Pooram is the only major festival where they earn by attracting more number of tourist's outside of Kerala
Some hotel really spiked up their price to an extremes
If you have some connects in kerala, ask them to visit thrissur and book for you. Its just an alternative |

I just called Buddha and Emarald. No rates fixed and they don’t take bookings so early
They hinted rates are as much as 15k

Pooram is on 3rd may 2020, sunday .and immediately after thrissur pooram,there is another pooram at palghat.thats also a cruising sort of.what i heard is that,ideally all the g crowd will move as a group to this spot once they are done with thrissur pooram.both the pooram falls on the adjacnt dates.and last year this pooram at palghat was next day after thrissur pooram.so many could not make it to palghat. |

Looks like Pooram would not happen this year due to Corona virus lockdown. Sad that such a grand festival would not happen and at the same time, we will also miss once in a year opportunity to be there among our friends and community. Hope all are safe! |
