whitvale/pickering
The Seaton Trail is located along the West Duffins Creek in Pickering, Ontario. It runs for 12.7 km from 3rd Concession near Brock Road northwest to Highway 7 at Green River. The trail follows historic hunting and fishing routes on the creek, used for centuries by aboriginal people. In pioneer times, the creek and valley became the site of several water powered mills. A former grist mill stills exists at Whitevale. you may also walk from the town of whitevale following the river towards lake ontario,You will also pass a very wooded area called clarkes hollow.that lays under the taunton rd bridge over pass. There are some inland bluffs that are higher than the scarborough bluffs.Too bad they dont have an area to show photos of this park. The view is breath taking. In the summers travel is far easier. If you keep your eyes open on the ground you may find arrowheads. as this area was home to many natives.Clarkes hollow is a maple sugar bush.fall colours are amazing. many trails for walker ,hikers, and trail bikes. As well family dog walkers. But the higher inland trails are the cruising grounds for those males who have a love for adventure, a short hike from the parkinglot at Seaton trails.Who goes there everyone, but mostly locals as there are no bus routes that I know of.It is about a 2 hour walk from Torontos metro zoo. if you follow steeles ave, which becomes taunton rd after you cross altona rd.The village of whitevale is very quiet and small. There is parking in the village also in the park. pet peeves [dog walkers dont always pick up dog doo][some birders think they own the trails and litter or just hangout they can be annoying] stay off the main trails less likely to run into them. a great place for a day hike, bring your own water.wear proper shoes. remain friendly you never know who you might meet on the trails.I have met a few doctors on lunch break as well as local farmers, construction workers on break, many new homes are going up in the area.but not close to the park. This creek isnt close to lake ontario. it is about an 8 hour walk one way to lake ontario. This park isnt new to gays of the area,it has been kept a secret over 40 years. some areas I have seen fully nudity.*** watering males for your viewing pleaser.Just respect those who say no to your advances. There is someone out there who cant say no. have fun and play safe.
