Being YOU!
Chennai is a fascinating city with the most amazing and helpful people, if you look closely there are a lot of dark good looking men in the city too but why does everyone pretend this is still 18th century when it comes to acknowledging homosexuality. This bustling metro of over 4.5 million people will have at least 4.5 Lakh gay men (1% of the population) but where are this 4.5 lakh men hiding in the city. Remember this state has a lady CM who lives with another woman so why pretend there is no homosexuality in this city. There has to be a better quality gay spa or bar or a night club or some place for gay people to meet and greet without feeling scared. Even the psychiatric research has established homosexuality is normal sexual preference and no a deviation disorder or a disease. It's quite sad that most of the gay men in this city will spend all their life living a lie. Pretending to be some one they are not.....pretending to be loyal husbands, great fathers and amazing sons but all the while thinking in their heart for a life that is different. Time to rise and shine and smell the coffee.....time to be unapologetic for being YOU !!! Time to embrace happiness !!

you have told the absolute truth. I am sure not 1% , not 10% , it ust be more than atleast 25% . But , yes , people don't want to come out in the open for fear of social stigma . A movement is required to urge people to come out of the shell and live the life of their choice. |

True. as a society we need to progress more. There is not enough space (both online and offline) for lgbt people to have a sensible debate/discussion about who are we or about what does the future has to offer for us. living in the undercity is lot discomforting for the soul :( |

That's so great of you, where have you come out? Be the change you want to be. Display your true pic as dp here, let me see. It's very easy to say, Mr.Exotic, but in reality we can't even tell out our own name! It's being you within yourself and not in public. |

Absolute punch dear Shriram. U know since 1975 I'm doing gay ***! Could u believe how tough those days. But now we ha e more comforts but the worry of public face still exists. If u r a c/o platform or a Millionaire no care about anything. But we all are real middle-class know!! Even within this sight how much of us ready to interact like good friends? |
