I don't want to name and shame particular places but I have heard good amount of rumours/news from some of my gay friend sabout Uttam nagar and nafargarh area where Young people call you and, they have a gang to make a video of you and scare you. It happened to one of my friends. A young person called him near uttam nagar and there was a whole gang that barged in when he got naked and video shooted him. They were demanding like 1 lacs rs, otherwise was threatening to send videos to contacts ( they snatched the phone and took screenshot of contact list ). My friend then went to police and police helped but police also demanded 20k rs to solve this and catch those scamsters. Whole system is broken right now.
Has this happened to you or any of your friends? What places should we avoid? I have mostly heard about Uttam nagar and Najafgarh. Its full of scamsters. Please share your incidents if any and help everyone. Also, if there are tips to know if the other person is a scam would really help.

I have been living in mukharjee nagar post COVID and can confirm Uttam nagar is not safe nothing happens with me and I never hookup there. But have hear from many that not safe. In general uttam nagar is not safe for even living single there or as student. Same thing goes to mukharjee nagar lot of crowd of young and old but stay safe while talking to guys from haryana or jaat. One of guys I talk tell me that he got rob by harayana guys. |

So in my opinion, such things doesn't happen at a specific spots but just everywhere. People/scamsters now know about the fact that a lot of gay folks are not out of the closet and try cruising to keep identity safe. And they try to take advantage of this fact. While a lot of people consider cruising thrilling but it is also an opportunity to invite trouble. I recommend, pay a little money and visit a bathhouse where u would find like-minded people. You can talk, make friends or even have fun as u like. If not bathhouse, visit a gay friendly spa (based on feedback)
Paying a little fee is much much better than scaring yourself for life. What if the video actually gets leaked? Think.... |

One guy talked me his friend was robbed 15 k. In mukundpur by many guys after meeting through Grindr be safe everyone guys even i have stopped using Grindr for meeting
Just chat there mostly Grindr is full of weirdos the genuine legid crowd there already went Arrogant while meeting now there's is another side which wanna meet discreet even without sharing pics so risk is there plus Don't forgot thr insane levrl of catfishing on apps or using their older pictures |

So this happened with one of my friend Z, he has recently started working in a Mnc in Gurgaon and used to live in Malviya Nagar or Saket, I don't remember the exact place. So he had an off on that day and he was on Grindr looking for a massage n ***, and he came across a really handsome guy, very tall and sexy physique..they discussed about the charges and service and agreed to meet. So Z went to the guy's apartment, and it looked really nice, the guy seemed nice and belong to a well to do family. He made my friend comfortable and after 10-15 mins took our his phone and started recording my friend, and started saying " laundo ko paise deke gand marwane me bhot maza aata hai" he said a lot more disturbing things. My friend got scared and started to get out from there, but that guy was really tall n muscular and intimidated to a point where he extorted around 30k from him.
The very next day, Z went to his office and was very upset about the whole incident and shared his experience to one of his office friend, and he insisted him to confront the guy and get back his money. After office they both went to the guy's building, over there, they found the TO-LET board of that building and from there they took the owner's number and then went to the guy's apartment and asked him return all the money that he took, or else they will go to police plus inform the owner of the building as well, but the guy started shouting, the neighbour of his building also came, but took my friend's support and apparently he has done this with multiple guys in the past( that's what their neighbours told my friend) after that he finally returned all the money. |

Guys avoid mojpur seelampur jafrabad mustafabad and other shady areas of delhi
I had a Life threatening dangerous experience yrs ago at mojpur/jafrabad bahut khatarnak thaa therr was a gang which was extremely activr therr to rob & abuse gays in that around areas and many gays cannot complain mostly because of different reasons
I have read many similar incidents of that kind there regularly in short headsrs of newspapers too

Mi bihar se ek chote se gaw se nd in 2022 m mujhe ek ladka blued se mila hamne chatting ki usne kaha din m ata hu but he didn't come aur bs bahane banana Raha n finaly sam ko ane ko bola and kha k uske ghar pr koi nhi Maine kha thik h he came nearly 8pm n took me from there to a field where he's 2 friends already there they didn't have *** with me but instant they put a knife on my neck mi bhot dar gaya tha bhot mara v nd recorded some video saving m gand marwane ata hu n cow ki taskari krta hu mujhe apni safety k liye sb kuch Krna pada they call my family nd demand 50k as they told my family hum police h and tumhara beta sarab lejate hue pakda gaya h nd finally my family paid 6k nd they again beat me nd left me there in the field nd m takbrib 2.30 ghanta paidal chal k ghar pahuch raat m nd chappal tha n kapde v faat gaye the so mujhe lagta h jab tk bharosa na ho kahi mat Jaya kro it's not safe anymore to use such a dating app ab toh mujhe bhot darr v lagta h kisi se Milne k liye nd ya Maine ghar pr yehi bola ki police hi the but my family wanted to file a police complaint but I said choda jo hona tha ho gaya because 8 don't wanna come out now so that's my story |

मैं बेहोश हो गया।
वो मेरा बैग पैसे मोबाइल सब ले गया।
बाद में जब थोड़ी बारिश हुई तब मैं जागा। फिर पुलिस स्टेशन जाकर एफआईआर की। पुलिस ने भी कुछ नहीं किया बोले इधर आपको नहीं आना चाहिए था रात में बहुत क्राइम होता है इधर भला हुआ आपको चाकू नहीं मारा। |

My experience: As mentioned above, scam can happen anywhere just be alert, trust your senses and do not ignore any red signal. Most of the time, you can sense something is fishy but we ust ignore it either due to beng *** at that time or relying too much on luck.
I had faced such scamsters twice in my life:
First experience: I was around 20, in second year of my college and through a dating app I met a guy (I guess it was on planetromeo as grindr was not that popular then). We exchanged numbers and he shared pictures of a really hot guy, as a naive young *** guy I instantly liked that person and later he told me he is paid to which I said I don’t have money for paid *** but that I really liked him. He said give me whatever you have 500-600 but lets meet- I agreed and he asked me to come to CP- I came there and then he asked me to come near a specific place in CP (RED FLAG- NEVER meet anyone at completely isolated places in first meet, if somebody is forcing to come at a specific lonely location it could be scam). Anyways I went there (near The Connaught hotel, near shivaji stadium), here I met this guy- apparently it was not the guy that I saw in pictures- I asked him you shared some other pictures, he said NO- i said yes and he said show me- I openedthe chat and showed him and he took my phone to see (RED FLAG- NEVER give or open your phone/wallet like this in front of strangers or such ppl that you find fishy), instantly he pt my phone in his pocket and started abusing me- he was literally shouting on me on road that *** marane aajaenge sale and bla bla, he asked me pay a heavy amount else he will run with my phone. I pleaded to him that i dont has, he checked my bag, took every single penny around 1500 in total. I started asking for help giving my hand to moving vehicles, there was no one on road just a watchman nearby and he didn’t come to help. This guy then calls his boss, afyer i pleaded and cried a lot- his boss asked which phone i was carrying to which this guy said hai ek chota sa kuch ni milega uska, so his boss said jane de paise nikalwa. This guy then asked me to give another 5k nect day else he will call at my home- he took photo of my college ID- nect day he kept calling from different numbers, finally i picked, abused him and amtold him that i will go to police f he called me again and it got over. It wax most traumatic experience of my life, i was young and never faced anything like this ever in my childhood before, by only God’s grace i was saved on that day. I lied to that guy about being living alone in delhi, never tell such ppl your family background or so if you are from a well to do family.
Will write another experience later.
Be safe guys and please believe in karmas. Don’t scam others, it will get back to in one or other form. |

I have faced many frauds in my past so just giving some basic safety guidelines.
1. Buy cheap second hand smartphone which you can carry when you go to meet stranger. Do not have any gpay / phonepay bank credit card connected to this. Remove all personal data contacts pics in that phone. Don't wear expensive items / debit credit cards. Carry limited cash.
2. Always prefer one time VC. Avoid meeting without seeing each other. Hotels are better options to meet compare to private home. Make one photo id card voter / license which doesn't have your permanent address, have a address with very few details. Better to make id where you are not going to stay longer. License is best as Adhar / voter is mostly connected. Keep that ID for showing at hotels. Tell in chat to guys you are going to meet that you are not carrying any extra money or atm / debit cards. Most of the fraud guys will avoid your profile.
If hotel / fraud guy / even police has no access to your debit card / Gpay / credit card / cash, your real address and your personal contacts their blackmailing will not work. Your video will blackmailing will not work if they don't have access to your contacts. Do *** with less light so even if there is video face will be not that clear. Even if that is on internet there is still AI for you to blame for blackmailing.
Even frauds also do not want to stretch the matter so most of them will be only looking for what you have at that moment or ATM Gpay money.

We should also make a thread where we can share these scamsters number, so that people can comment on their Truecaller id and get saved. I once got saved by checking the Truecaller id and someone has mentioned that the guy is fraud and will blackmail you. |
