Baje dam swimming area

Baje dam supplies water to Manipal, it is located near Hiriyadka (about 10Km from Manipal). From Hiriyadka bus stand, there is a road leading to Baje dam. The dam is about 2Km from Hiriyadka (no deviations, straight road). Once you reach the pumping station, there is a path that leads to the dam. There is a precautionary "No entry" board, you can ignore it.

There are steps to get to the water, you can swim around there. Water is neck deep in the man made platform. Note that there are deeper places too; hence go there if you know swimming well.

Some locals come there too, but mostly it is deserted.

If you see a guy swimming there, you know what to do!
