I'm visiting Kolkata soon. I'm looking for a hassle free hotel room for 2-3 days in the city center for fun, where you can call several dates from grindr without any hassle from hotel staff and receptionists. Have had lot of fun in Delhi and Mumbai hotels. Any recommendations for the hotel names. Please don't suggest generic stayuncle etc.

For metro rail esplanade area is good where u will get all kind of budget hotel |

Chuckle - You can try with the hotels near airport gate 1 bus stop. There are a bunch of them there and some of them allow visitors with/without checking guest id. |

I stayed in several ordinary and star hotels in Kolkata. This is very difficult to assess which hotel is cheaper since the classification depends upon the budget of the guest. However, for a general idea I would consider the hotels with a tariff of Rs 800 to Rs 2000 per day as the cheaper ones.
There are a number of hotels within this tariff at Sealdah area in Kolkata, not very far from the station. When you stay in a room for Rs 800 a day, the cleanliness, privacy, service and the ambiance will be of the minimum level. The bed-sheet might have stains, the rooms would have a simple table and a chair, nothing more nothing less. You might discover hairs here and there on the floor and an untidy blanket on bed. The toilet would be surprisingly small and without any frills. Water force is not always up to the mark. The geyser is not sure to function properly. But those are not constraints when you are with your partner are there with a particular motive for a brief time. But what is the biggest trouble is they reception guy or the bearers will ask you unnecessary questions and will knock on the door anytime without any manner.
Some hotels of this kid are however better with better privacy.
The star hotels (5 stars ), if the pocket permits or if the tariff (Ranging between Rs 4000 to Rs 7500 per day) shared, are naturally way better in ambiance, cleanliness, safety, hygiene and privacy. If one partner checks in first, he/ she will be asked about the second partner and his identity proof. A simple answer that the particulars of the second guy/ girl would be shared when he/ she would check in is more than enough. And no one takes a notice when the second partner sneaks in with the first partner amid the crowd of the guests.
