No Picture Sandeephard	Posted On Oct 18, 2024 Government and NGO statistics show that, every year, in cases of sexual abuse/***/molestation in the underage category (0 to 18 years of age) MORE THAN HALF OF THE VICTIMS ARE MALE , i. e. young boys. Number is around averaging around 53%. No one talks about these massive numbers of sexual abuse against young boys. These are the numbers that reflect only those cases that are reported. If we think about boys who are ashamed to tell anyone about the abuse or parents who don't report because of fear of defaming their child in a society like India, the total number/percentage would be much higher. As far as the Suraj Revanna case, everyone in political circles in Karnataka knew about the abuse for a long long time. It can only continue because the abuser knew he had the state patronage. The congress party only timed the reporting of these crimes to leverage it for political purposes. If JDS (political party of Suraj Revanna) was with them they probably would not have acted at all. The BJP certainly didn't while it was in power in the state. That is why it's important that famous LGBTQ people speak up and make a better society not only so that the rest of us can live freely and marry freely but also young boys or any LGBTQ who get abused feel free to report such crimes without hesitation. If these famous LGBTQ people don't speak up for us, and help creating better society, they should be named and shamed for enjoying wonderful lives, while the rest of us suffocate.
