Rapido, Uber, Ola has their ride services in chennai .
These days those guys seem to be very happening. More often than not I get these guys to pick me up or drop me off. Like most guys I check out the drivers pic if he is hot I book else I cancel and rebook until I get a cute guy to pick me up????
Most of the guys are from Madurai Villupuram Thiruvannamalai etc and they stay with group of guys with no privacy and not much of a contact with the opposite gender. There are some from Chennai too who are broad minded. I strike a casual conversation with them and slowly but steadily seduce them and trust me out of 10 rides I am lucky 6 times viz a hit rate of 60% is not bad. My success rates are higher during the evenings and when it’s darker. These days the rain makes people even more hornier than ever before. Rapido is mostly unavailable and I guess they are just starting so it might be a pilot study if the market to assess the demand. Am sure if they advertise the service will pick up. I think they in the process of building their driver network across the city.
As a service it is great and very economical, cheaper than taking your car however safety is a bit of a concern coz most of them don’t have helmet for the pillion rider and they don’t have good sturdy bikes some even come in scooty. As someone who mostly prefers car travelling in a bike in high traffic main roads does scare me a bit.
Now to the fun part, took 3 rides and about 2 of them were quite turned on and cool. One was a bit shy but if I tried hard I could have bent him. His girlfriend was constantly calling him while riding. While I have seen some really good looking Swiggy Uber Eats driver I have not come across anyone in Rapido who is a total turn on. Am looking forward to some more guys getting converted. Both the app and the service is unreliable guess will stabilise with time. |

Unfortunately during the times I need the ride it appears that there are no captains around 😡😫🤔 also it is not as professionally managed as Uber / Ola since the Captains can cancel the ride or probably not turn up on time. Also the service is quite less may be with time they will make this more efficient. Also hope they bring hot good looking guys on-board. It’s a great money making opportunity for college youngsters and all others who love riding bikes. Transporting people is easier and better than transporting food. Not sure why these food delivery boys are not moving to Rapido |

@etc - I think bike taxi is a great option esp to beat the city traffic given a choice I would prefer to ride with a hot looking taxi guy so if they hire hot looking guys it's a double whammy for me and as @sasmathu mentioned it's called tongue-in-cheek humour and a writing style. I don't know the equivalent of this in Tamil but I know it gets used quite a bit in Tamil jokes.

As expected, ola cab drivers have protested against rapido and ola bike services in the city...apparently, there is no law or rule for commercial bike services is their contention..police have stopped 18 bikes yesterdy as per THE Hindu paper. If we go by the bikes impacting call taxis argument , then call taxis should be banned bcs they impact autos and the list will be endless...also rapido is running pretty decently for almost 1 yr in trichy and coimbatore etc... |
