I think, it is not others, but first we would need to change if we want to experience the difference.

We need to be bolder compared to earlier, which means we should be bolder and more confident and be prepared to face any situation when someone tries to blackmail us, harass us, abuse us for be gay.
If one is not doing anything wrong being within legal permissions (ie no *** without consent, no *** with minors, no *** in public), then we need not to worry, we need to face the situation boldly.
Unless we start being bold and confident, removal of sc 377 would be hardly effective.

@headsTailAndHo: agree that we should keep head ice_cool in cruising spots. As far as dealing goons is concerned, its same while cruising in a loo, compared to getting thrashed on a road, driving, for no mistake of urs.. >>you shd dare fighting till the point when it is not insane/endanger one's life..

A very good topic of discussion but unfortunately a wrong forum. As you would have noticed on this platform people are more interested to know how to seduce delivery guys or to clean their rectum for a better *** rather than contribute to this topic of what change is visible or what needs to be done to make a change visible after the historic judgement on 6th September 2018.

I personally am of the view that it’s too early to have any expectations of change in the society as we still have a long way to go for the society to know about us , for us to change as individuals, for us to be more comfortable and confident of our orientation. Just as we have adapted to the idea of live-in relationships after it got legal sanction, I don't think accepting the LGBTQ community will take a lot time, probably the next 10 years or even more, but this verdict will definitely help remove the taboo.

The court's observations have kindled hope among members of the community that very soon they can seek marriage registration, adoption and maintenance rights and family insurance policies for same-*** partners. But this is too far a thought, my wrong or meaningless though , however, for it to happen we need to remember that now after decriminalising section 377, our rights have been acknowledged. We can now walk on the roads, holding hands; we can go out wearing what we like. We can be ourselves.Over a period of time, people will learn to accept fellow humans for their personal choices without interfering. I would suggest we need to follow these these small steps of being ourselves as being dignified in our stance for the society to accept us and then I see the far away thought that I mentioned earlier to be the closest to us in reality.

With many from the society celebrating with us after the verdict was announced. The celebrations are sending a message . Slowly, it will trickle into their minds, that homosexuality, even if it's not a criminal offense, is not something that needs to be disapproved of, and that is exactly when we will have a changed society and our dreams of being with our partners and be as free as a straight couple would not be a far stretched dream. I hope we all will come together in this and act responsibly to make the change happen!

No more afraid of goons, money seekers and especially the biggest goons in India = police. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£. Yesterday a guy tried to threaten me, I said *** yourself. That was really a great feeling not to be afraid of anyone. I am not much into cruising but it's good news for those who like cruising. I have seen guys getting beaten up by *** goons. Thank you Modi government for this.

@greenguy12us are you mad or ignorant or just stupid do you not read newspaper The Modi government was against decriminalization of 377 the Attorney General of the central government of India representing the Modi government said that they want homosexuality to be a crime it was the Supreme Court and the judges of the Supreme Court which give this Landmark judgment the congress party on their official Twitter and Facebook page has welcomed the decision the BJP did not say a single word about the decision after it came out where are you living under a rock you still think it is Modi was giving you the rights it was the Supreme cover meant there was nothing positive from the Modi government towards section 377 I am surprised how some people in the gay community still thanking Modi for this. Modi is anti gay and anti lgbt. he has never ever spoken one single word in favor of the gay community in India never ever the BJP is a conservative right-wing party which does not like to bring social changes.

It is so sad to see that people in the gay community today also believe that the Narendra Modi government is supporting them.
a person who could not love his wife and marriage what will he think about same-*** marriage. the official stand of the Narendra Modi government was against decriminalization of section 377 they wanted it to be a crime because their voter base of goons and illiterates and religious right wings conservatives who do not want social change....... in 2009 when the Delhi High Court decriminalized sexuality same-*** sexuality Congress government welcocompile.... if you do not believe me go on YouTube and see Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are welcoming the decision made by the Delhi high court and when the decision was reversed by the Supreme Court it was again criticized by the congress party.... I don't understand how people in the LGBT community can be a fan of Modi... when he and his party does not want you to be equal. Just go back and check the Twitter handles of BJP and Congress party and then you will understand who was welcoming the decision and who was against the decision.

@ABN12
Can you plz keep the politics away from this forum?

U may like or dislike a party, a politician.. but u have no right to use the word Goon / illiterate for more than half of voting population of India.

And just a well known saying I would like to use here.
If you think one person is foolish, u may be right.
If you think 100 persons are wrong, you again may be right.
But the moment you think, thousands of lakhs of people are wrong, then accept it or not, you are stupid, not they.

By the way, if you understand, there is a huge diff between educated and literate persons and intelligent and sensible persons.

@ABN12 BJP MP Jagadmbika Pal introduced private member's bill in parliament for allowing LGBTQ members to serve in i Defence forces on Friday.

So hold your horses before getting high on congress and labelling BJP as anti-LGBTQ party.

Post change of Sec 377, more guys who are actually straight have started entering the gay/ bi stream to make quick money. They will first ask for money upfront. Others will take advantage of your weak point and make you their ATM.....Any Time Money......So be aware.
