Rather to say gay friend, I would like to call as " so special friend"..
Coming back to the topic, yes I received much more innovative gifts in each valentine , bday etc.,
What ever he gives are so innovative and some of the thing he specially designed on his own..
First most gift. - innovative clock with my favourite pics(6 pics) attached
Got t-shirts , shirt
Watch with love symbol
Perfume
Wallet
Few Paintings
Cards
Etc etc.,
All these gifts are still decorating my house and always remember his memories and the day we spent..golden periods
I too presented but will share later...

@ valentine - thanks to recall my golden memories through this post..

Best gift received from only one person and that was the person who hurt me the most. But I prefer to cherish n remember those good memories n moments with him. We became friends after my marriage only, we were like best buddies or even brothers.
We both share the same birthday but different years, coincidentally we gifted each other a same grey colour Rockport Tshirt on our birthday. From that day onwards we shopped together n bought same kinda stuff same shirts, same shoes n even same watches. We gifted each other like that for almost many years until he suddenly disappeared from my life. It has been almost 15 years I still have that Rockport t-shirt with me.

@gay sparks....I understand 100% the pain caused by being forgotten by someone u like the most....even though you grow past it there is a hollowness that no one can fill...u can only try to take a deep breath and focus on something else

@ Harshid - you are most welcome.. I wanted to start this thread to share my memories too.. There is a selfish altruism to it ..lol ;)

@ Gaysparks - Even I have a guy whom I got matching t shirts.. I went overboard to even buy the same car and colour of his though I it wasn't my favourite colour.. Drove all the way from chennai to Madurai to show him that too..

Best Gifts I got
------------------
- A collage of my pics ordered chronologically and framed
- A pencil sketch of picture which I still have it in my FB page justapoxed next to the original / Another pencil drawing of my then pic gifted on my birthday
- A showpiece where multiple hearts could be seen in reflection in my fav colour ( This was gifted after a break up and make up episode with my bestie)
- of course the numerous chocolate bars shared by my bestie which we end up eating from either side ending up in a literally sweet wet kiss

Gifts I gave
--------------

- A Parker pen for my bestie. It's sleeve was an unique colour and his favorite. The good deal of search for almost a week made this gift special
- A kinky underwear which was got for him matching mine.
- A poem or rather two poems in my blog. The two poems has his name hidden in their verses. But it took him 3 times to read to understand.
- Most of my other gay buddies I mostly get them t shirts/ shirts preferable in their favourite colours.

@ valentine - First of all, I thank you so much for starting this thread. It brings good memories to me.

Actually this kind of gay feelings started in my life when I was about to complete my second year of college.Literally, I was abused by uncle.I don't know why but psychologically I was attracted to uncles.I had few encounters for physical need when I was into the entry level. Then sometimes I felt ashamed of myself for having this.I had a habit of not even having a cup of coffee with the person whoever I meet.We will talk but eating something might be wrong (It was my mind set at that time.May be because of immaturity or something else. But my personal feel. I felt that I shouldn't be a burden or make use of other persons money.I wish to spend equally or I should spend more.Being a student I can't spend even equally so I avoid that )

Then one fine day in September 2016, I met that person. He showed me the other side of gay life.Actually, we met to satisfy our physical needs but then it turns into Friendship.Well educated and well travelled person from bombay. Then our second meet in October 2016, we didn't have fun.The very first person with whom I spent a night (literally stayed). There was no fun.We just talked about personal life and whole night we enjoyed being next to each other.Next day morning during breakfast,He explained about spending money. Then I realised. He is the first person with whom I had breakfast. Then we went to prayer hall near beach station (he is a Christian). We prayed and there he bought me a gift (praying hands which flows in dark ).I have it in my room, when I sleep it flows and I starts to rejoice about our memories.
That was our last meet. Due to his personal reasons, he is not travelling now to Chennai. But still he never forget to wish me on my birthday and I too.. Very rare messages but Friendship and love is there. This is my first gift 😊😊

Share my other experiences later

@ valentine @ gayspark - I could feel Ur feelings and Ur affection for Ur friends

@pandi - A meal or coffee together is best time to spend with a special friend.

I mostly have a drink or two with my buddies.. Of course a little intoxication can ease the night if you are hitting the bed for a steamy ***. But over years there has been long chats over drinks and cuddled sleeping overnight than ***..

I guess birthday treats could also be special and could add them to my list of fav. gifts ;)

@Ragu - Not sure if hopping was a deliberate typo..lol.. But you can hope to get a good g friends..

GIFTS DOESN'T MATTER BRO.. BUT THE FEELING YOU PUT BEHIND THE GIFT MATTERS.. AS LIKE MENTIONED BY MANY IT ALWAYS BRINGS BACK SOME MEMORIES ABOUT THE PERSON WHO GIFTED IT..

This my second and recent gift... In January, I met a person.I got to know him through PR.Impressed by his note in profile. We chatted for some hours. Then finally, we talked over phone and agreed to meet him in T.nagar.I met him in his hotel were he stayed(As he is a visitor from US).He is a Tamil origin Singaporean settled in US.We shared some quality time by talking about many topics. Then he asked me that how could I speak frankly and openly with stranger without any hesitation.I replied that I love to speak a lot and learn more from People. There may be lots of controversies between our thoughts. But I respect to observe and reply. If I am wrong I will change. Then we had some soft fun.

Finally, it was my time to leave the hotel. He gave me his contact number and mail id so that I could be in touch with him. When I was about to leave, He just asked me to wait and gave me 10 US dollar.I replied that I am not a prostitute or call guy to accept this money. If u think that I should take this write something and give it to me as a present. But simple dollar will make me to feel something awkward. He wrote - Friendship always with love (his name). Then I accepted it.I have it in my purse, whenever I see that dollar it reminds the time which I spent with him

Still the person calls me or I call him on every Sunday to know about our health, family.

My second memorable gift 😊

Hi all
I have posted about my 10 years relationship with my man in our relationship blog.. So here let me list few the most impressive gifts that we both have shared. W

1. We both got acquainted during the month of June and my birthday falls in August. The dates were exchanged generally during a conversation in mid July. To my surprise he came to chn on my birthday and visited me in my office with an amazing roses bouquet. I was really aghast and don't even now how to react.. Then I had to leave office and spent the entire day with him.. To many nitty-gritty things that I like we're given during the course of the day.

2. Valentines day was the most romantic day ever.. T.Shirt and jeans was perfect fitting and it was entirely different from what I usually dress up.

Out of the So many memorable gifts. The most treasured was a pic collage hand made by him..

Recent one was vinayagar wall hanging and a cute little card with most romantic and meaningful words

I treasure everything till date for almost a decade and everything/ everytime he amuses me with something or the other...

Really lucky to have him

But according to me the most important and wonderful gift that he gives anytime we meet is the kiss he gives on my forehead. That kiss means a lot... And I am blessed to have him as a my partner..

What an awesome topic, with poetic opening lines "no gift is big or small...." thanks Valentine for taking up this topic, it has made me quite nostalgic..

Any gift given with an unconditional love is nothing but a piece of our heart..it is capable of directly touching the soul of the other person & making him a friend for life. A right gift at the right time to an approriate person can drastically change his destiny as well.

I have this habit of periodically gifting the people in my inner circle; including my platonic gay friends & partner. This gifting habit has transformed even those who had hated me into good friends..

I have received many priceless gifts my loved ones, some of which were life transforming as well.

Some of the gifts that i've given them:

I mostly use kind, friendly & encouraging words while interacting with people & try not to hurt them in anyway (this is an intangible gift but this i consider the foremost of all).

Dress, shawls...

Art works.

Books.

Plants.

Monetary gifts.

Photos.

Helping them at times of emergencies etc.

Gifts received :

i consider their friendship itself as a biggest gift for me.

Material gifts received include:

Sculptures.

Clock.

Books

Dress

Photos.

One of my platonic g friends even offered to sponsor me a tourist trip to US, where he has been living for a decade now..i refused to accept his offer; since i do not wish to burden my people with huge costs.

(Ps: amongst all the gifts i ve received; one that is closest to my heart was given by a naga woman saint: she voluntarily gave me a holy relic which was being used by her for many yrs..after i brought it to my home, my fortunes drastically began to change for the better)
