Surya has uttered Otha Ommala in Aaru movie. He also said Otha in Ayan movie. His shirtless scenes in Ayan Varanam Ayiram make me drool for him |

The best i could recollect are few but damn good.
1. In a movie called adhu oru kanaakaalam by danush. DAnush will be in police lockup with another gay guy(very hot). Gay guy will try to hold, danush's *** but danush will rebel back and kill that guy.\
2. In a movie of simbu with jothika(forget movie name), simbu and simbu's friend moments will be mis-interpreted by housemaid as they are rally gay men.(scene copied ditto from kal ho na ho).
3. In villu, vijay mama will be bathing when vadivelu opens the door, and vijay mama will be fully naked in front of him.

I agree with @male fantasy (im new i dont know how to tag people here)... these are very homophobic... they do nothing but make fun of gay men... i can not remember any tamil movie that showed gay men in a good light... bollywood is doing better... atleast TG people are getting more recognition and screen time... so babysteps i guess

Oh come on guys.. Like many in the industry who ignored an excellent performance of Andrea in the movie "THARAMANI", the gay scene involving her husband and how she understands him and talks in support of him could be best gay depiction (in positive light) in Tamil movies till date. |

I agree Andrea’s potrayal of a stressed out HR Manager in Tharamani is commendable. Also I liked the maturity with which they dealt homosexuality. In real life too women are far more accepting of homosexuality than men. It’s probably the conditioning. If you look at Europe and Thailand so many people have embraced homosexuality and there are lots of places to go to which means there must be a lot of latent homosexuality in the society but our culture and social norms have prevented the people from exploring. Bollywood is definitely better. I also appreciate A list actress like Sonam Kapoor playing a lesbian in Ek Ladki ko dekha tho Aisa Laga that’s really bold. With the 377 out of the window I think in the next 20 years India should make great strides. Honestly movies have a huge huge impact on how people think so the more open the movies the better. |

Vanjagar Ullagam..the movie came few months back.. sort of murder mystery where the heroine will be killed. Turns out her husband and his gangster boss were in gay relation and when the heroine was about to leave her husband for a guy she loved the gangster boss would kill her.. |

Taramani is the most sensible movie that dealt with homosexuality. However it is just a part of the movie. Vanjagar ulagam's twist is mainly based on the love between two male characters. 'Sigai' has portrayed Kathir's love for his friend but it went off track and he becomes a transgender. If I'm not wrong I vaguely remember there is a scene in Kadhal Konden involving junior Dhanush in the home he was brought up which is censored in the sun TV version.
Off topic: Ram has portrayed Transgender so very well in his recent Peranbu. Such a sensible director deals with subjects that are considered Taboo. |

Unfortunately tamil cinema still using homosexuals for their climax twist, homophobic moments or comedy. Still there is no gay gilma Moment showed (exception is only Goa, there was a gay couple n also may be one n only gay duet song till date- ‚vaaliba vaa vaa‘)
The famous dialogue ‚Avana nee‘ often used To refer gays. In Movie KO, pia asks jeeva, in anegan the maid says avala nee and hugs the heroine. Also in friends, iliana ask vijay ‚avana nee‘.
And not To forget, vettayadu velayadu. May be the first tamil movie to have gay couples ? |

In recent telugu movie 'Gang Leader', some gay comedy scenes were there. They even showed how gays do tricks to watch others. Though the scenes were bit trolling gays, it was just fun to watch that scene and their reactions. |

I believe that Tamil or most of South Indian movies never express the gay moments openly . Our conservative mindset never allow to produce such films. The LGBT people portrayed as criminals or untouchable in the society. I used to watch many English movies express gay moments in a positive way . It would take another century for South Indians to accept LGBT lives .. |
